Whose Improv Is It Anyway? : On-The-Spot Satire
Game Description : Whose Line
Game Title : Whose Line
Game Category : Situational
Number Of People : 2 (2 actors)
Difficulty Rating : * (Very Simple)
Time Estimate : 3 minutes
Items Necessary : (See Prompts)
Prompts Needed : Scenario (1), Characters (2), Written Phrases (6)
Preparation :
- The six phrases should be written on small slips of paper. Each of the two actors receive 3 prompts folded up so that they (the actors) are unaware of the contents of the papers.
Procedure(s) :
- The actors act out their characters within the scenario. Every 30 seconds, an actor needs to incorporate one of the slips (drawn at random from their pocket) into their scene without knowing what it says until they've read it. Once an actor says a line, the scene must reflect what was said. The actors take turn using their phrases.
Closure :
- The scene ends when both actors use up all three of their phrases.
Variations :
- Alter the number of phrases each actor receives, change the number of actors, or give one actor more written phrases than another.
