Whose Improv Is It Anyway? : On-The-Spot Satire
Game Description : Stand, Sit, Lie
Game Title : Stand, Sit, Lie
Game Category : Situational
Number Of People : 3 (3 actors)
Difficulty Rating : * (Very Simple)
Time Estimate : 3 minutes
Items Necessary : None
Prompts Needed : Scenario (1)
Preparation :
- Though no items are necessary, a chair to sit in and a couch to lie in can make things go smoother. The only preparation needed is the presentation of the scenario prompt and the decision of which of the three actors begins in the standing position, who begins in the sitting position, and who will lie down to start.
Procedure(s) :
- Throughout the game, there must always be only one person standing, only one person sitting, and only one person who will lie down. When one person switches position, the others must change their position to compensate.
Closure :
- The game is over either when the time limit expires or when the scenario comes to a natural end.
Variations :
- Exchange one of the three positions for leaning or kneeling, increase the number of actors and assign them one of the alternate postions or always have two people one of the positions, alter the time limit, or add character prompts for the actors.
