Whose Improv Is It Anyway? : On-The-Spot Satire
Game Description : Good Cop, Bad Cop
Game Title : Good Cop, Bad Cop
Game Category : Situational
Number Of People : 3 (3 actors)
Difficulty Rating : * (Very Simple)
Time Estimate : 3 minutes
Items Necessary : None
Prompts Needed : Scenario (1)
Preparation :
- Once the scenario is chosen, one actor plays the role of the victim, another actor plays the role of the bad cop, and the final actor plays the role of the good cop.
Procedure(s) :
- The two "cops" arrive to perform a task for the soon-to-be victim, who doesn't have enough information for them to do their job. The "bad cop" regularly physically harasses the victim for information, but the "good cop" steps in each time just before his partner does too much harm. The good cop, however, gets easily frustrated, gives up, steps aside, and the bad cop takes over again. The two "cops" take turns with the "victim".
Closure :
- The game ends when the task is completed, when each "cop" has had 3 turns, or when the time limit is reached.
Variations :
- Vary the number of turns or have the "good cop" and the "bad cop" switch roles halfway through.
